When Jim first opened his burger restaurant in the 1950s, he needed a way to get people in the door.  He had the idea to offer a really big, really cheap breakfast. When discussing this idea at the bar next door, the bartender called him "crazy". Over the years, he may have been called crazy for other reasons, but this is the story we have heard. No idea why it was spelled with a K- it was the 50's?
